Conflux Wallet vs Fluent Wallet

What's the difference, and how do you move between them?

Same Conflux Network · Same seed-phrase format · 60-second migration

Conflux Wallet and Fluent Wallet are two ways to access the Conflux Network. Fluent is the browser extension — Chrome, Firefox, Edge. Conflux Wallet is the native desktop and mobile app — Windows, macOS, Linux, with iOS and Android in active development. Both connect to the same blockchain, manage the same CFX, and use the same standard seed-phrase format. The right choice depends on whether you want a wallet inside your browser or a wallet that runs as its own application. Ready to try it? Download Conflux Wallet.

When each one fits

Use Fluent if…

You live in your browser, your Conflux activity is mostly DApp interactions, and you don't need a mobile wallet. The extension is fast for connect-and-sign flows on websites you already trust.

Use Conflux Wallet if…

You want a desktop window that doesn't close when the browser loses focus, you want the same wallet on your phone, you need an in-wallet Core ↔ eSpace bridge, or you want stuck-transaction recovery without manual nonce work.

Use both if…

Many users keep both installed. The browser extension for quick dApp connections, the desktop app for managing balances, staking, bridging, and pairing a hardware wallet. Same seed phrase, same addresses.

Move from Fluent to Conflux Wallet — 60-second guide

  1. Open Fluent Wallet. Click the menu, then Settings → Show Recovery Phrase. Authenticate with your password. Write down all 12 words in order on paper, not in a digital file.

  2. Install Conflux Wallet. Download the build for your operating system from the download page.

  3. Open Conflux Wallet and choose Restore Wallet during setup.

  4. Enter your 12-word phrase in the order you wrote it down. Set a new password for Conflux Wallet — this protects the phrase locally on your device.

  5. Done. Your CFX balance, Core Space addresses, eSpace addresses, and any tokens you held appear in Conflux Wallet. They'll continue to appear in Fluent too — both wallets read from the same blockchain.

Hardware wallet users: the migration is even simpler — plug your Ledger or Trezor into Conflux Wallet, the wallet detects the device, and your accounts populate without a seed-phrase entry step.

One thing both wallets handle for you

Conflux uses two address formats. Core Space addresses start with cfx:. eSpace addresses start with 0x. Sending to the wrong address space fails — the address itself encodes which space it belongs to. Both Conflux Wallet and Fluent label the space clearly when you copy or paste an address, so the mistake is hard to make. If you're moving between wallets, your existing Core and eSpace addresses transfer over with the seed phrase.
