How to Buy CFX

Step-by-step: pick an exchange, buy CFX, send it to your Conflux Wallet.

Listed on 8+ major exchanges · CFX/USDT, CFX/USD pairs · Self-custody after purchase

CFX is the native token of the Conflux Network. You can buy CFX on most major centralized exchanges — Binance has the largest CFX/USDT trading volume, with additional liquidity on Coinbase, Kraken, MEXC, KuCoin, Bybit, and Crypto.com. After buying, withdraw the CFX to your own wallet (preferably Conflux Wallet for full Conflux Network feature support, or any other Conflux-compatible wallet — see the wallet comparison). Step-by-step

01

Pick an exchange that lists CFX

CFX is listed on Binance (highest volume), Coinbase, Kraken, MEXC, KuCoin, Bybit, Crypto.com, and Mudrex (India). Pick one based on three factors: which exchanges are available in your country, fee structure (most charge 0.1-0.5% per trade plus a withdrawal fee), and whether you already have an account somewhere with KYC completed.

02

Complete KYC and fund your account

Centralized exchanges require KYC (identity verification). Once verified, fund the account with USD, EUR, or other local currency via bank transfer, debit card, or stablecoin (USDT/USDC). Bank transfers are usually the cheapest method; cards are faster but typically charge 2-4% extra.

03

Buy CFX

Find the CFX trading pair (most commonly CFX/USDT or CFX/USD). Place a market order for instant execution at the current price, or a limit order at a specific target price. Confirm the trade. The CFX appears in your exchange wallet immediately after fill.

04

Withdraw to your Conflux Wallet

Don't leave CFX on the exchange long-term. From the exchange's withdrawal screen, paste your Conflux Wallet address — the exchange may ask whether you want Core Space (cfx:... address) or eSpace (0x... address). Match the network the exchange offers; sending to the wrong space format won't reach you. The withdrawal fee is typically 1-5 CFX. Confirm and wait — most withdrawals process within 5-15 minutes.

05

Verify the deposit and stake (optional)

Open Conflux Wallet, check that the balance updated. If you intend to hold long-term, consider staking — open the Stake panel, enter the amount, confirm, and earn the network's 4% annualized rate. Or use the in-wallet bridge to move CFX between Core Space and eSpace depending on what you plan to do with it.

Country-specific notes

  • United States: Coinbase and Kraken support CFX directly. Binance.US has limited altcoin coverage — check before relying on it for CFX.
  • United Kingdom: Kraken, Coinbase, and Crypto.com all serve UK users. Be aware of FCA promotional restrictions.
  • Australia: Binance Australia, Coinspot, and CoinJar list CFX. Crypto purchases are subject to capital gains tax in AU.
  • India: Mudrex, WazirX, and CoinDCX support CFX. Note India's 30% capital gains tax and 1% TDS on crypto trades.
  • Southeast Asia: Binance, MEXC, KuCoin, and OKX serve most markets. Local exchanges (Indodax in Indonesia, Bitazza in Thailand) may also list CFX.
  • Tax: Crypto purchases generally don't trigger tax events in most jurisdictions. Selling, swapping, or earning rewards usually does. Consult a local accountant.

Fees you'll actually pay

  • Trading fee: 0.1% to 0.5% per trade on most exchanges
  • Withdrawal fee: 1-5 CFX, varies by exchange
  • Network gas: usually included in the withdrawal fee
  • Spread: 0.1-0.3% on liquid pairs
  • Card purchase: 2-4% extra if buying with debit/credit card

For a $1,000 CFX purchase, expect total cost around $1,005-$1,045 depending on payment method.

Alternative ways to get CFX

Beyond centralized exchanges: (1) earn CFX by mining on the Conflux PoW network (Octopus algorithm, GPU-friendly, supported by pools like F2Pool, Woolypooly, Herominers); (2) earn CFX by validating PoS blocks if you hold enough to run a validator; (3) earn CFX as Conflux Network rewards from staking existing CFX; (4) swap into CFX on Swappi (the Conflux DEX) if you already hold ETH or USDT on eSpace.
