Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 1, 2026 · Last updated: May 1, 2026
Conflux Wallet is operated by ChainNest Labs INC, a company registered in Delaware, United States ("ChainNest Labs", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit confluxwallet.org or use the Conflux Wallet desktop application, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.
1. Summary — what you actually need to know
- Conflux Wallet is non-custodial. Your seed phrase, private keys, and wallet password are generated and stored encrypted on your own device. We never receive them, and we cannot recover them for you.
- We do not require an account, email address, or any form of identity verification (KYC) to download or use Conflux Wallet.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers.
- This website uses minimal, privacy-respecting analytics and a single preferences cookie. You can decline analytics from the cookie banner.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
We do not require you to create an account. The only personal data we receive is what you voluntarily send us — for example, when you email support@confluxwallet.org for help, contact legal@confluxwallet.org with a legal notice, or submit a data request to privacy@confluxwallet.org. In those cases we receive the email address you write from and the contents of your message.
2.2 Information collected automatically on this website
When you visit confluxwallet.org our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referring URL, requested path, timestamp). These logs are retained for up to 30 days and used solely to operate the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical issues.
If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we record anonymized, aggregated page-view data (which page was viewed, country-level location, device type). We do not use third-party advertising trackers, cross-site identifiers, or session replay tools.
2.3 Information processed by the Conflux Wallet desktop application
The desktop wallet stores your encrypted keystore, address book, and preferences locally on your device. To broadcast transactions, query balances, and fetch token prices, the app communicates with public Conflux Network RPC endpoints and public price APIs. These third parties may log your IP address as part of their normal operation. The app does not transmit your seed phrase, private keys, or wallet password to us or to any third party.
3. How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve confluxwallet.org and the Conflux Wallet desktop application.
- To respond to support requests, legal notices, and data-rights requests.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your information for behavioral advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a single first-party cookie to remember your cookie-banner choice. If you opt in to analytics, we set one additional first-party cookie. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We disclose information only in the following narrow cases:
- Service providers: hosting, email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics vendors acting on our instructions under written data-processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: when required by valid legal process, to protect our rights, or to prevent imminent harm.
- Corporate events: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.
6. International transfers
ChainNest Labs INC is based in the United States and our service providers are located in the United States and the European Union. Where personal data is transferred outside your country of residence, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Data retention
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form for up to 24 months. Support and legal correspondence is retained for as long as needed to resolve the matter and to comply with our legal obligations, then deleted.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA, and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or withdraw consent to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@confluxwallet.org. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Because Conflux Wallet is non-custodial, we cannot access, modify, or delete the contents of your wallet — only you can do that, using the application installed on your device.
9. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; you are responsible for keeping your device, operating system, and seed-phrase backups secure.
10. Children
Conflux Wallet is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date.
